In my own backyard

For some reason or other I woke up the other morning close to 7am and instead of rolling over and going back to sleep, I got out of bed. For those that dont know me as well, I am not a morning person and prefer the other side of 10am as my rising time. The morning was overcast and there was a "wet blanket" spread over my backyard. Color Guards

Taking photos of action is a lot harder than it seems. One can not just stay still and wait for the shot to come. You have to give chase, keep the camera to your eye and do not get distracted.. like I said, easier said than done. This weeks photo is of Terra Nova's color guard team. photo of the week

The weather is getting colder and wetter and flowers and sunshine are a not so distant memory. This beauty was in full bloom just last week! I hadn't seen one this color before and looking at it reminded me of both summer and fall. I hope that you enjoy this as well and that it reminds you of a warm sunny day! Stay dry...
